I've got Ubuntu 9.10 (64bit) installed and Adobe Flash Player 10 seems to be playing up in Firefox 3.5

Sometimes it won't load, sometimes it will but none of the buttons in the flash object works, and other times it'll work, then I'll change tabs and the flash objects will disappear.

One of my housemates on a similar config has the same issues, I was just wondering if anyone else did, and if so if anyone has fixed the issues?

Thanks for any help! :)

Yep 64bit Flash suck major balls.

If you consider security and performance, the 32bit version sucks too, but that's Adobe for you.

Did you install through Firefox or manually? I had the same issue with the first method, so I installed the plugin this way the next time round:

Download and extract the file at the bottom of this page. Then in your home folder, create a folder called 'plugins' within the '.mozilla' folder. Copy libflashplayer.so in to 'plugins' and then load Firefox. Type 'about: plugins' (without the space) in the address bar and hit enter. It should tell you that the shockwave flash plugin is installed. If you did install that way, then the only alternatives I can think of are trying some of the free flash plugins, but they're no better than the Adobe one, unfortunately.

I found that flash stuff work after installing it with the restricted extras, but play/pause function only work when visual effects are disabled.
