New build, new install of everything.

Steam wants 'another version' of Flash Player to display all the gubbins. Following their link to Adobe's site brings me a message that my version of Chrome already has the up to date version of Flash installed, and no option to download it anyway.

So I try (boo-hiss) I.E. to open the link, and it lets me crack on with the download.

It's downloading at... 200 BYTES per second.

WTF?

EDIT: 99 bytes per second. So looking like 2-3 hours for a 2.5MB file. Anybody else had this crap?

Don't ask me why but for some reason Adobe's servers go to a crawl during the evening (UK time). Fine in the morning/day though.

I also thought Steam got rid of its requirement for Flash when they created this new multi-platform client?
