Hi again guys, i am making a website for my hosting company, i have downloaded a flash template but have no idea how to edit it, could somebody please give me some pointers please??

You're right.

Personally a flashy (literally) website just puts be off. A nice clean style that is quick to load and clear will serve you much better. It will also be a lot easier to design and maintain as it appears you have little flash experience.

i see what you are saying and i dont see what you are saying at the same time, you see, i have decided this is the web for me, i am not asking for somebody to do it for me, i will happily do it myself, i just want some pointers on how to edit it, i dont want peoples opinions on how the website should look as i have decided already what i want?

Your site is supposed to be selling hosting to people yeah? As a web developer I've never liked hosting solutions that are blatantly fronted by someone elses template like this, shows they have no idea what they're doing when it comes to websites, and considering that's the hosting service they're meant to be providing hardly inspires confidence.

As far as the Flash: Open in Flash>Edit it? I mean without actually seeing the original file I don't know how anyone could help you. There's keyframes and library items, start clicking...

Well they are selling the templates, i bought that template if u dont quite mind insulting me before you asked where i got it form thank you.

lol, he wasn't insulting you! He's right, a flash based website for a hosting company would put me off a bit. Hosting sites should be simple, HTML-only - they don't even have to look fantastic.

Ask over at http://www.flashmove.com/board/index.php. It's fairly useful for flash stuff.

Lets face it, if you can't work out how to edit some crappy flash templates. There is no way in hell you will manage to run a hosting company. A little tip - Dont use flash you will put customers off. Who do you plan to peer with just out of interest?

I doubt thats any concern of his as most people start with a reseller package or dedicated server with a provider who takes care of network and power etc.
