flash the bios?

hi i dont know where this should go so if it should go somewhere else then by all means move it.
I have just read somthing that said "flash the bios" what does this mean?

You change the bios by flashing it with a different one. You can do it in windows sometimes or by using a floppy disc. You need to download the new bios file from the manufacture website

Since you have no clue, I would recommend you don't do it, since you can brick a device.

First off learn how to use your computer, know what parts are in your computer (exact make/model/BIOS revision) download correct firmware files and flasher, read instructions, see if you need to flash it in the first place...and only flash on a stable machine also.
