Flash video crashing 6870

Since installing a new 6870 flash video (youtube etc) randomly black screens my pc necessitating a restart. I can get around this by right clicking on flash content and disabling hardware acceleration.

However, flash player seems to reset/default to hardware acceleration. Is there really no way to stop my video from crashing without having to uncheck hardware acceleration everytime I watch a flash video?

Does anyone have the same issue? Am I missing some browser or CCC setting that forces off hardware acceleration permanently?

Never had that problem i suggest to maybe try using different drivers and making sure you have latest version of flash player

I have a similar issue with my 6870,where when I watch youtube/flash videos. I somtimes end up getting the blue screen. At one point it completed frozed. restarted PC and the GPU is dead with artifacts.sent it for RMA over a week now :(.

Well the card is new and runs furmark and heaven benchmarks fine, without a glitch. Also runs portal 2 and stalker call of pripyat on ultra without any problems. Temps are low (ice q cooler) so I don't think the card is on its way out.

I have tried on several AMD drivers (uninstalling & cleaning each time) and several versions of flash, latest and 3 previous versions and the problem persists. Its not a blue screen but black.

Could this be a codec conflict? Is there a way to check if I have unnecessary video codecs installed?
