Flash vs HTML5 Firefox

I didn't know where to post this but recently I've switched back over to Firefox and I was wondering if Firefox running flash rather than HTML5 isn't smooth.

Disable flash, and install this add-on:

Is the HTML5 more smooth or am I being paranoid?

Thing is even without flash installed in chrome it runs smooth just as smooth as HTML5, is Chrome only using HTML5?
