Flash

S'pose I should learn Flash.
Not all that kean on it but web design jobs seem to demand it as if its the most important thing.

So, any good flash websites where I can learn?
I bought a book but its for Flash 8 and Ive only got Flash 5 which seems vastly different - cant get past page 4 because the app has changed so much

Books are best, I'm only on MX myself, the new stuff seems to be more about being able to upload images from within flash and video controls.

Actionscript is really quite easy to get along with and it’s great that you have timelines and onclipevents to fire stuff off from.

It's horses for courses, you always get clients that have seen Flash sites that they think are perfect but are wholly inappropriate for what they want to do, but if you know the limitations of it you can usually find a decent middle ground.
