I had one of those moments that on Hind sight I wish I hadn't.
Just bought a new CPU and in doing so I thought it would be best to update to the latest Bios Version to ensure no problems...

My motherboard is an Asus A8N-Sli-Deluxe

I downloaded the Asus Updater program from their website along with the latest Bios version. Ran the updater, all went fine and the Bios was updated.

IT asked me to restart the PC, which i did however I have the following error message on my screen now:

DISC BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISC AND PRESS ENTER

What the hell am I to do? lol

Really need your help again!

Make sure your hardrive is plugged in correctly.. IF that doest work sounds like a dead hd :S

In options in the bios, select the right hard drive to boot from. Seems that the bios is set on default, so it ain't using the proper boot drive.

Thanks a lot.

Turned out that it was trying to boot the slave drive before the Primary. Simply rejigged the order and away it went.

Thanks a lot :D Learn something new everyday.

Yea most likely all your BIOS settings were reset to default. Write down somewhere all the changes you make so that it's quick to do them again. That's what I did :)
