just having the biggest bad run ever!

found the issue to my problems which needed a bios flash, used the guide on the shuttle site and used win flash, it said it had updated and worked, needed a reboot and that’s it game over, it won’t post or load.... is it shagged now?

Did the flash program finish and reboot? Could need to remove jumpers and clear cmos.

yeah it finished and said it was updated, just needed to reboot windows to compleate, however nothing, cleared the cmos, with the reset switch at the back.... looks like a RMA

This probably won't be the most helpful post in the world to the OP, but might be to others. I flashed by BIOS on my shuttle last weekend, and in doing a bit of research about it I found that more people seem to have problems using a windows based flash system than an old-fashioned DOS boot disk method. My advice would be to use the later, even if it means dusting off that old floppy disk drive you thought you'd never use again!

PK!

good call and i agree! - not worth it with winflash, and if you use Vista don't even think about it!!!

oh and for the record i fixed my shuttle, the bios reset was not enough, but leaving the cmos bat out all night did the trick!
