flashing 1900xt to a xt-x

The only difference is the clock speed as far as I'm aware so just overclock it using ATItool or something.

Catalyst Control Centre has a hard cap as far as I know. Flashing your card will increase clockspeeds and probably voltages too, which is a bad idea unless you know exactly what is on the BIOS, so I would just OC as it will reach XTX speeds on its own.

Just clock it the small amount you need for XTX speeds, will reach them easily, or do you really need it to have the extra X on the name of the card in the CCC.

the thing is my card can reach 711 core and 801 mem stable with ATI tool. But ati tool annoys me because it wont work with oblivion and the chuck patch. The cat clocks wont allow any more than the ati tool.

ATI Tray Tools will work and can be run along-side ATI Tool. Just use ATI Tool to overclock and ATI Tray Tools to control your AA/AF, it will be fine.
