Flashing 290x

Hi Guys

How risky is it to flash a 290x with another manufactures BIOS? I got a HIS 290x and heard people preferring to use the Asus BIOS on their cards.

Always a bit reluctant to do something that could break my new shiny toy but I have some time on my hands at the moment.

Is there a good one stop guide on here with instructions to for doing so?
