Flashing 780TI

Hello,

normally there is no BIOS update needed for your card. What is the reason you want to flash the BIOS?
Please be carefull with the BIOS you flash because sometimes there is a new BIOS number if we use a different RAM model, if you then flash this BIOS on your card it might not work anymore.

You can also raise with the precision tool the temp target then the card will not clock down. If you have games where the clock is jumping up and down you can use the Kboost feature of precision to fix the clock where you want. The numbers that are stated at your post do also not match, one is the Ref clock P/N while the other is a SC one.

Thank you for the input! Where do i find this man. Of course i would consider any other thing before flashing the card.its just really disapointing when you have a really epic card that wont run bf4 max settings without drops in 1080p! Terrible game though :P

that would be evga Dominik quoted above, hes evgas man on the forum :)

Did you give up on the 290s?

And what are you using to test the card?

I did indeed, After being refused RMA by another "Company" after having blue screens, texture issues, overclock issues and random artifacts appearing and going away.

I normally play games or use heaven/valley benchmarks. All of which slowly throttle the card down.

That sucks :( Some retailers aren't very helpful at all.

That's pretty odd, mine never did that. Have you maxed out the temp and power targets?

I only flashed mine (Kepler) to increase power target, I tried increasing volts but it only added heat no real gains so left that at the max of 1.75v.

I tried bios for removing underclocking but eventually I gave up and stuck with increased power target.

Does increasing power target make it sit at the overclocked spec though"?

the trottling how you do describe it do sound like it does when it hit the temp target. Have you already tried to clean out all driver with a third party tool like driver fusion and also clean out all tools that do have access to the card like precision, GPUz and then download and install the latest version of driver and precision again?
Have you already tried to increase power and temp target manually with a tool?
