OK, Well I have the day off work today and I need to flash the bios on my powercooler 2gig 5870 eyefinity to stop the flickering on my middle monitor. I have never done this before so if someone copuld help me out that would be great. I rang tech support and they said it was to either do this or to roll back my drivers to 10.3. Any help on this would be fantastic as it is, quite possibly, the worst this to happen to a eyefinity set up bar all 3 monitors spontaneously combusting :p

Have you already got a bios or do you need to make one? If the manufacturer has supplied a bios they usually include a little .bat file to run the command automatically for you.

Quite simple to do once you have the bios though

put ATIFlash onto a bootable USB with your bios file and boot from it

Then once at command prompt type "atiflash -i" and enter to see all the cards you have (if you have more than one)

Then you can type "atiflash -p (adapter number, probably 0 but will be seen from previous command) "bios name"

so on my 5970 I had to have two files (master and slave) and i had to type:

atiflash -i (identify the master)
atiflash -p 0 master.rom
atiflash -p 1 slave.rom

then reboot and test it out.

No problem, the bios they supplied will increase the memory clocks as its the switching of this which causes the flicker. Should just be a case of following what I said to flash the bios :)

Although, i would like to give a disclaimer for not being responsible if anything goes wrong :p

I don't like flashing GPUs :(
