Flashing Gigabyte DS4 board BIOS

I just got myself a 965P-DS4 from Gigabyte and would like to flash to the newest BIOS version. I have downloaded the latest (F6) and extracted it but not sure what to do with it now.

The last time i flashed a BIOS it was using a floppy disk, am i right in saying this doesnt use a disk and does it directly in Windows?

Oh, and am i right in saying each BIOS update includes the previous one, as in i dont have to update to F3 then F4 then F5 etc...?

on updating bios, all u need 2 do is flash 2 the latest, forgot the rest UNLESS stated.

on flashing bios, never had a gigabyte, but sure they have the option for floppy & from windows

Hi

Stick the BIOS file on a floppy, reboot and enter BIOS, press F8 to go into Q-Flash, select 'Load main BIOS from floppy'.

As already stated the new BIOS includes all revisions to date.

Any chance you know why SMART is disabled, and i cant seem to find anywhere in the BIOS to enable it? Ive looked all over...
