Flashing P67A-GD65 B3 via USB?

any of you guys done it? i've read some real horror stories of people flashing the wrong archives, the wrong boards (B2), and basically bricking their mobos. the annoying thing is, i think i have to do it in order to get this r9 280 (xfx) to post. i know the majority do it without a problem. if so, was it as simple as using the MSI usb tool and pointing it at the new BIOS in dos?

Just did it. Whoo. If anybody has this mobo and bought a new GPU, only to find it doesn't post at boot, download CPU-Z to check it is at least version B3, and if it is download the MSI USB flasher as found here - https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=108079.msg800577#msg800577

And then head on over to the MSI forums and ask admin or a moderator to find you the correct archive to extract to your USB drive.

That should do it.
