flashing power and reset buttons on mobo

After the recent lightning storm my PC has just died. Won't power on at all.

On the motherboard the power and reset buttons are flashing and that is all.

It is a Asus P5Q Deluxe or should I say was a...

Any ideas?

try removing the cmos battery from the motherboard,leave it out a good 30 minutes then put back in and try

if that doesn't work try testing with another psu if you can,

A work colleague has tested the power supply with a power meter and all reading came back fine on the PSU. I will remove the battery later and try that.

I fear the motherboard is probably dead.
