Flashing sky router

Hi all

Was in the middle of flashing a sky router with the DG firmware and my laptop thought it would be a good idea to blue screen in the middle of it.

I am now unable to get an ip address from the router when i try to flash it again.

I entered a manual entry with no joy.

It also wont boot up as normal, just sits there in idle mode with the lights flashing away.

there is a program that will help you flash a bricked router. I think its on the TeamDG website. you will need an xp machine.

And I cant promise it will work.

dont see it.

It was vista that caused it to blue screen by the looks of the forums.

I thought there was a netgear program that recovers routers that have had this fate?

Might be of help to you, not sure if Sky put any sort of lock on the routers.

Got it sorted.

Entered the manual IP again and used a different netgear firmware and it picked it up somehow.

Now flashing it with the correct firmware and that should be that.

Only want to use this as i want to configure my cisco gear and need some net access while i do that!
