Flashing tape as sound proofing - any used it?

Hi folks,
I'm wanting to do some sound proofing on my Megane Coupé. I'm a cheapskate, so was going to give the flash tape a go. Has anyone used it? Does it work reasonably well (not expecting miracles!)?

Where's best to buy it from?

Cool, that's what I like to hear

Only criticisms I heard of it was that it was slightly less effective than Dynamat standard etc, and that as it was Bitumen based, it set on fire quite easily. Are either of those claims founded?

Cool. Where did you get yours from? I've just been to B&Q and Wickes and neither had any cheap decent stuff.

Well, to reply to my own post, Wickes had a 1M wide roll that was about £40. B&Q had the 15cm wide stuff, but it was about £20 or so for 5m length. I thought it was about 10m and £8. What did you pay?
