hey guys an lassies, im gonna be updating my bios soon so that in some point in the future i can use win 11.

latest beta bios update for my board adds win 11 support.

i have heard i need to do incremental updates on this board, but that was a few years ago.

is it safe to whack on the newest bios update when my current bios is from 2019?

I had read you needed to do incremental updates before (same board) too, so I did that anyway just in case, have the most recent one installed ATM with no issues (Win 10 though) tbh I cant see why just installing the latest wouldn't work as you replace your bios each time you update afaik. Try it with the latest update and if it doesn't work you can always use flashback and do it the long way

I don't think doing incremental updates has ever been a thing on the tomahawk max as ive jumped back and forth between most of bios at one time or another while testing and never had any issues, the only boards where I saw the occasional incremental update was needed were on some of the gigabyte boards.

I wouldnt do an incremental BIOS update on a Motherboard, unless the instructions on the web page for a particular BIOS said to do so.
