Flashpoint 2 and system spec

Yeah should be absolutely fine for that. The system specs have been released on the OFP2DR website. They are:

•Graphics card: Nvidia 7600GT 256mb or ATI X1800XL 256mb
•Sound support: DirectX-compatible sound output
•RAM: 1GB RAM
•HD size: 8GB Hard disk space
•Processor: 2.4GHz Dual Core Processor

Plus OFP2 doesn't look like it will be ground breakingly good graphics (not bad though!), probably more CPU intensive at a guess, similar to Arma2. Can't wait for this to be released, I think I will enjoy it more than Arma 2.

Id liek to point out is the bare minimum.. Your going to want a 512 mb grx card for one as the engine relies a lot on it for the memory texture streaming.

Also recommend a quad core..

I guess I'll be scraping the barrel with an AMD X2 5050e...? I'm not worrying about my 4670. Will probably end up with it on the xbox unless the demo ends up being playable on mine!

hello all,

i will be buying my new pc in the next few days.

This is the spec i'm mostly likely to buy from over clockers.

Would this system be good enough to keep up with flash point? (im not after graphics on high) and other new games?

Why not wait till the end of the month and see what happens with the new DirectX 11 cards? I'm going to buy a ready made overclockers machine but probably with a overclocked Intel quad core and a ATI 5870 card.

righto

ive just orded this:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-073-OE&groupid=43&catid=1445&subcat=

this was the best system i could afford.

looking at flashpoint 2 system requirements which say a quad core, i would probs update to a quadcore early next year but at the moment was out of my budget.

few questions.

ive read quite a bit in reviews that the AMD Phenom II X2 Dual Core 550 is good for gaming. how does this processer differ to a normal intel duel core?

from peoples knowledge with games and how they react with duel core and quad cores, what am i expecting with the processer above in terms of flashpoints performance? i'm not after to be playing the game on all highs (low-med graphic settings), just enough to make missions of a good size.
