FlashT Bios ID Check error E8MB. Gigabyte Motherboard

I just set up a new rig all works well, but I cannot update the bios.

GA-Z97X-UD3H-BK Motherboard v1.0 Bios F5 trying to update to F8. I just get this message...

FlashT Bios ID Check error E8MB

Any thoughts....

try downloading it from gigabyte us site or uk

if that doesn't work try with latest @BIOS,

Should have said, it's not just the latest F8 bios that gets the error. all the updates F6 & F7 get the error too. Will have a look @BIOS.

you should be able to flash to/from any bios version

that's strange

I know some bios's need a one off flash with @bios,it also updates qflash,you can then go back to flashing with qflash,not sure if that applies to z97

Yep it's the correct bios update as my board is rev 1.0

Can you tell me where the @BIOS icon is? I cannot find it.

OK found out you have to download the @BIOS software. Was able to update to F7.
