Anyone used flat cat6 for about 20m length without problems? I want to connect a pc in the next room, drilling a hole in the wall but would like hide as much as I can under carpet.
If rounded is far superior and reliable I'd use trunking along the skirting boards.

It’s unlikely conform to the actual cat6 spec but it will probably work and that is all that matters.

You can test the cable before you bother laying it, if it works, it works at the end of the day.

I used to think flat ethernet was awful, tbh it probably was years ago when it first came out. But there are a lot of good and well made flat ethernet manufacturers now.

I use a 8 metre flat Cat6 cable in our back lounge room, works perfectly with my 1Gb VM connection.
