Looking for a flat in manchester, inner city.
Anyone know of any nice places? budget of £100pw location has to be manchester either on a main bus route or sensible walking distance to city center.
cheers

I pay just over £500 pm to live in the centre 7 minutes walk from work which is a god send, I was paying £350 ish in a shared house + £50 transport costs before.

how about something like http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-to-rent/property-22769858.html?sortByPriceDescending=false&minPrice=300&maxPrice=500&minBedrooms=1&maxBedrooms=1&radius=5.0&pageNumber=34&backToListURL=%2Fproperty-to-rent%2FManchester.html%3FsortByPriceDescending%3Dfalse%26minPrice%3D300%26maxPrice%3D500%26minBedrooms%3D1%26maxBedrooms%3D1%26radius%3D5.0%26index%3D330

Around Whalley Range way seems to be ok, but I went from Victoria Part to Fallowfield and hated both areas.

£400 pcm will get you something decent.

You wanting single bed flat? or looking for a share?

I live just off Deansgate in a 3 bed I share with two friends, nice place.

Need more info to guide you though!

To not share, to be city centre and have more than a bedist isn't likely for £400 - but not impossible.

I would look at areas just out of centre, e.g. Green Quarter.

Normally you'd have to pay £500 minimum for a one bedroom place to yourself, even in the areas around where you'd have to get a bus in. However that one linked to in the second post is a steal! I used to live on Demesne road it's a decent area (though no pubs/bars worth visiting). The #85 bus is not one of the best bus routes but if you don't mind waiting 10mins now and again it's ok.

Well £800 (two sharing @ £100) would be a nice place!

Yup, I live in the Tempus Tower building and currently pay ust under £400 pcm for my third.

This is literally at the end of Deansgate, so really very close to the city centre. I know there is a 2 bed in the even nicer converted royal mail sorting house (an old victorian building) for £800, huge place, high ceilings, the lot.

Having said that, I have lived in the GQ too, which is also very nice.

Really, stick to the south / south east parts of the centre area (+/- 1m) and you wont go too far wrong.

I live in Salford, £300 a month :D

Wouldn't recommend it though :p

Theres a ton of new flats just outside of Victoria station that look swish

Are you talking about the ones on Cheetham Hill Road? Green quarter?

If yes, I don't think you can rent those :(.

I live just down the road from them, £300 a month, open plan apartment :)
