Flatout 2 or Flatout: Ultimate Carnage?

Aye, but UC uses GFWL which kind of puts me off as I read that most of the orginal FO2 players stayed with FO2 because of the mods.
 
FlatOut 2 - It has better music for a start!

Also, the damage models have been re-done for UC, and I reckon they've made it a bit pants. (I have both by the way)

In FlatOut 2, you can wreck some of the fastest cars quite easily, in order to gain a couple of extra places up the ranks ;) Its almost impossible to do that in UC, which takes the fun away and makes it more like a proper driving game, which it most definitely isnt!

Just wish they'd put CPU cars available into the LAN version, that would have been superb!
 
Well ive got both game though i havent played either in a long time tbh so cant really comment on current online scene. But when i did play flatout 2 often there was a pretty good scene, was easy to find games etc. When UC came out it was hard to find games as it seemed not many people played it online.

Last time i searched for games for UC was about 4 months ago now, no games were found. Not tried looking for games on Flatout 2 in about 2 years now so cant comment on that but unless your bothered about fancy graphics I wouldnt bother with UC
 
The two games are very similar in design, but like others have said, have minor differences.

I loved Flatout 2 for the Party Mode. It was great with a few mates, seeing who could lob their driver the furthest down a field :D
And like HeX said, no LAN in UC.
