FlatOut + FlatOut 2 Pack - Steam worth getting?

I have FlatOut2
It isn't bad, but I wouldn't buy it.

Nobody plays it online, me and a few friends just have the occasional game on it from time to time, but I wouldn't buy it, I'm glad I didn't ;)
 
ah thats a shame , i just played flatout 1 demo via steam and it was alright i thought , ill save my money in that case
 
last time i played flatout 2 (a few months ago) there was loads of people online. I would host a game for me and my housemate then 6 others would join soon after.

best online arcady racer ever. well worth $24 for the 2. If you can get flatout 2 by itself for $15 or 20 though thats better
 
i need more convincing tbh, watched the trailers etc looks like destruction derby ...

i think thats the only thing thats making me want this game

its good. Personally i think the stunt thing is crap but the areans (like destruction derby) are great. The races online and really fun aswell. 8 cars doing 4 laps of speedway in rockets with max damage is carnage

simgle player career mode is really good aswell. Its one of only 5 or so race games ive bothered to try and complete
 
I've got Flatout 2 & its a good laugh. Didn't get into the stunt thing, but the rest is good fun.
 
flatout2 is the best fun racer i've played. superb graphics that run maxed out even on low spec hardware. i used to play everthing maxed except 2xAA @ 1440x900 on a 7600gs. :)

Same here, everything maxed on a 6800gt (x2 aa though)

Great game, well worth the money it's going for these days. High speed crashes are absolutely fantastic. It's on my PC at the moment, definitely getting it for the 360 when it comes out as well.
 
FO2 is over very quickly. But an absolute blast while it lasts.

1280x1024 and 2x AA on a barton 2800 & radeon 9800pro.

Looks beautiful & is great fun.

So good infact, that 2 days after completing all the race events my girlfriend 'accidentally' deleted our profile before we completed the stunt events, and we had to start all over again. Much to her rather obvious delight.

We didn't have much luck with the online side of things, seemed to join US hosted servers with incredible laaaag. But may try again soon.
 
Hi all,

I'm having fun playing FO2 but my sound is odd, i can hear the music and sounds smashing , crashing etc , but i cant hear the cars engine ....

any clues?

turn off hardware sound in the preferences? :)
