As the title suggests, i believe my GA-P35-DQ6 has a massive flaw. Right behind the slave PCI-E slot there are 4 SATA ports and just above there are another 2. If these ports are in use i cannot add a second card to go crossfire (well with the size of the card i have atm). Has anyone gone crossfire with this board or had such difficulties like this before?

Matt.

wouldnt suprise me, you'll find a lot of mobos these days suffer from stupid design flaws like this.
CMOS clear jumper underneath dual-slot graphic cards, various ports etc, or even chipset heatsinks

probably just cheaper buying a more powerful card and selling current one than buying another, then a mobo ontop of that!

Quite true. But tbh i dont think ill need to upgrade in a while, it was just for future reference tbh. Cheers guys.

Matt.

The ASUS P5N-E 650 i board is similar in that a long 2nd graphics card obscures the SATA ports. I bought 4 side-entry right-angle SATA cables from a place in California ($85/£40 for 4 delivered!) and that cured the problem. It is a poor design though.

Yes, I know - but at the time I was Mr. P5N-E SLi and it was all that and I was going to run SLi with RAID etc. etc.

And actually, they were beautiful hand-made cables.
