Firstly forgive me if this is not in the correct section, please remove, delete or whatever punishment you see fit to inflict on me
I am having terrible trouble with my graphics card and not sure if it is an RMA issue or there is something that I can do to fix it.
I am getting flickering in most games, particularly in WoW classic TBC, I am aware that there has been an ongoing issue but Blizzard and Nvidia claim it is fixed with various drivers and game updates etc.
The issue of which they speak isn't the exact issue I get.
Also Shadows are distorted and look terrible in all games and they flicker - this has not always been the case.
Steps I have tried to fix it:
* Reseated RAM and GPU and applied new thermal paste to the CPU.
* Changed all leads
* Bought two new monitors - this happens on 3 monitors in total an Acer X34P with a Gysnc module, on the Gsync compatible Ultragear LG34GN850 and Ultragear LG GL63T at any and all refresh rates and configurations.
* Turned all shadows to lowest and tried all settings and countless variants, with Gsync on and Off.
* Formatted HDD and SSDs - reinstalled windows and then the game/s - have tried installing them on sata SSD, NVME boot drive and the HDD.
* removed any and all game overlays such as discord, xbox etc.
* Tried every driver going back until I get the message "not supported on this version of Windows".
* Tried one stick of RAM.
* Updated my motherboards bios.
* Tried DirectX 12, 11 and 11 Legacy.
* Tried multiple high quality Display Port cables and HDMI Cabales (not useful to me but the flickering remains with HDMI).
My PC Specs are:
Ryzen 9 3900x
RTX 3080 FE
MSI gaming edge wifi x570 motherboard
32gb (2x16) ddr4 corsair vengeance rgb ram 3600 (C18 I know, I know... but they look pretty)
Corsair RM850 PSU
H100i cooler with 2 LL120 fans
6 LL120 fans
All temps seem fine - the junction temp is hot but under 100 in hwinfo.
