I'm currently doing some design work for an agency in-house.
Until now I've been working from my Mid 2015 15-inch Retina MBP, connected to a Dell U2515h monitor.
They've just upgraded their hardware, so I've inherited a late 2013 27-inch iMac and I connected it to the Dell for some dual-screen goodness.
However, it's really temperamental and constantly drops signal.
It's connected via Thunderbolt to DP — I've tried two different cables and both TB ports on the back of the iMac. It's not down to a loose cable and both work fine on my MBP.
The iMac was previously using a ACD as a second monitor with no problems, so it definitely seems to be an issue with the current combination.
I've done all the software updates, reset the PRAM and SMC, I've tried DP 1.1 and 1.2, basically tried everything I've found by googling the problem.
I realise this is a long shot, but does anyone have any ideas? It's driving me nuts.
