Flickering Green Dots on display...?

Hey guys,

I received my MSI GeForce GTX 470 Twin Frozr II yesterday, I had an hours play on some games and everything was great.

I turned my system on a few hours ago to play some more and straight away noticed lots of flickering green dots on the display. (They seem to like the dark parts of the wallpaper, or websites etc.)

I'm using the current drives from the nvidia site all default.

Windows 7 Pro 64.
4GB Ram
550W Corsair PSU
C2D 8500

all at stock nothing overclocked etc.

Any ideas, or do I simply need to get it swapped?

Thanks!

I would try and refit the card and check no power cables have been disturbed. After that pull any unessential hardware and run a bare minimum system, one stick of RAM and pull every drive apart from the OS HDD.

Sparkles are usually the classic sign that the GPU is faulty though.

Just tried a few things (Checked seated and all connections etc)
remove a drive, 1 stick of ram and still the same.
As soon as it hits Windows lovely little green dots making patterns all over the screen.

Shame as it only arrived yesterday afternoon :(

I guess ocuk will just swap it.

They will give you a refund if you so choose - just ask

Cheers, I was more than happy with the card and the deal of the pre-order price, so if I get it swapped over I'll be cool with it.
Thanks for the reply mate.

I had similar thing with my 260 couple of weeks ago, swapped dvi cable for old vga cable and problem gone
Been using that dvi cable for months so don't understand what happened there
