Flickering screen on Xbox360?

looking for some advice...i have my Xbox hooked up to my tv via the hdmi port and all has been well for a while. last night i noticed the colours were flickering in a weird way. cant really explain it just that the display colours change.

i have fiddled with the lead etc but still no good. could this be the unit itself or just the lead?

any ideas?

Can you try a different type of lead, or a different HDMI cable?

I've seen faulty 360's that have almost a look of the "256 colours in Windows" effect - is that what you have?

not really...same graphics just the colours flicker opaque/purple. need to try another lead then.
