flickering sound from hardware

So I bought the DGM 27" IPS monitor from here. Whenever I turn it on, my computer makes this flickering sound. The monitor runs a resolution of 2560x1440, which is a lot more than my old monitor.

I was thinking it might be my graphicscard struggling, or maybe my powersupply struggling. But Im not sure, and I don't have any hardware lyeing around to test it.

So I was hoping someone in here could hint me in the right direction, so I don't have to spend money on a new power supply and graphics card.

I got a 1000W power supply and my graphics card is a ATI radeon HD 5800 series.

I've also tried to update my BIOS, which didn't change anything.

1000w power supply says absolutely nothing (although with a AMD 58xx series it's always overkill). An A-brand 600 watt PSU will do a better job than some dodgy budget brand 1000 watt PSU.

I've no idea whatsoever as to what could cause this aside from some wire hanging in some fan which wouldn't be very logical if it only happens after a monitor switch.

it's an Energon 100W EPS-1000 140mm - if that helps.

I'm pretty clueless, if I plug in my old monitor 22" Samsung, the flickering sound disappears...
