Flickering whilst scrolling (L19wa)

Got this really annoying problem with the VideoSeven L19WA 19" widescreen. When I'm trying to scroll a webpage with a white background, its not smooth but rather you can sort of see the page refresh, a kind of flicker as you scroll. Its like having a really poor refresh rate. I read on some other post that it could be a graphic card issue,

Does anyone have any idea how to solve this problem? (refresh rate for this monitor is 60Hz at 1440x900). Much appreciated.

had the same ploblem on my 24", i turned the brightness down from 50 to 20, it was way to bright anyway & was sore on my eyes, now its perfect & no ghosting effect.

Do you have the monitor drivers installed?

Tried different refresh rates and resolutions?

There are no drivers for the monitor afaik. The max refresh rate is 60Hz at 1440x900 but I suppose I could try a lower resolution to see if the problem is still there. Anyone else got this monitor?

I suppose it is like ghosting, you can sort of see the monitor refreshing while scrolling. Thx, I'll adjust the brightness when I get home from work today.

If I use my mouse wheel to scroll up and down, I get ghost images of the smilies at the bottom of this post where they used to be, especially when they're against a dark background, but then my screen is 25 ms. Don't get any problems with white backgrounds though. Your problem could be caused by overdrive if that screen has it.

try 75Hz to see if that makes a difference. Make sure you have the latest drivers for your GFX card installed too :)

Pretty sure its not the monitor now as I get the same problem on my 17" LCD monitor too. I will try some new GFX drivers asap.

Problem seems to have dissapeared after updating to the latest BIOS for my Gigabyte DS3 mb :) (At least I think that is what solved it)
