How to get rid of them?

My flat mate left the lounge window open and now there is a shed load of flies everywhere. I've tried the Mr Miyagi technique but I'd have better luck with dead flies...

Open all the windows and use a fan to blow them out ,thats what i do.

Spread mustard all over yourself. The mustards super repelling powers will have those flies gone in minutes. I can vouch for his having tried it myself.

I've sadly run out of my 5 litre bucket of the finest Dijon...I'll put Macro on my to-do list for the weekend!

Don't kill spiders.

Or spray the flies with hair lacquer and call them gliders?

Get one of those Venus Fly trap thingies, the plant ( if I have called it wrong I apologise!) I had one, it was called spammy, it ate spam!

Nice Venus Flytrap, I used to have one but it died because I used to play with it making it shut its mouth, woops.
