Flight Joystick

I'm looking to start learning how to fly in BF3 and need a joystick which will do the job.

What would you recommend for newb?

I had a joystick mate, and honestly mouse and keyboard is more responsive than joystick once you learn how. You can do faster and tighter turn circles than you would with a joystick

What DPI settings would you recommend?
