I'm looking to get a new joystick/yoke ready for FSX (and for FS2004) and I'm trying to decide between the following

CH Flightstick Pro (Or USB flight control, whatever it's called now)
CH Yoke
CH Yoke with pedals
Thrustmaster HOTAS cougar

I don't know if there are any other decent models on the market, can't seem to see any. I have a Saitek Cyborg EVO force at the moment and it's rubbish so I'm not really looking for anything too cheap (like that god awful Saitek X52)

Id go for the CH products always get good reviews and I know a few people who have owned that and the cougar and they went back to the CH.

Id got for the Fighterstick rather than the Flightstick incase you want to play combat sims.

Might want to get a track IR to :)

Seriously tempted by a trackIR, I'm erring towards a yoke too as I'm really only interested in commercial planes, bigguns at that. Reviews of the CH yoke say it feels cheap and plasticky and the shaft sticks a bit.

track ir is a must buy item if you are going to play online flight sims at the " max realisim" setting with no external views.

Takes a bit of getting used to mind you.And an important thing to remember is to remove the reflective sticky dot thingy from your forehead when you leave the house Lol .

seriously, dont go out for a nights pubbing with it on yer head as your drinking pals will definately not tell you.

If you are going to get TrackIR I cannot recomend enough you get the 6 DOF expansion (forget actual name) it makes ALL the difference over having one single dot.

I had the cougars for a while.

Sold them onto someone else as I wasn't using them enough and bought a Saitek hotas set instead.

i got the saitek cyborg thingy but that was back when X3 came out. its a good flight stick, though it looks a bit scary (like the sort'a thing a female T800 terminator might use.... *ahem*)
