Flight Sim - Helicopters

Hello,

I have been umming and arring over getting the latest MS Flight Sim, the fact that there are so many different versions/addons is slightly off putting and I would need to buy proper flight sim equipment as I only currently use keyboard and mouse.

However, I am not that interested in the planes, I would love a accurate helicopter sim. Anyone know of one?

If I did fork out for MS Flight Sim, which would be the bast to get and which addons are recommended? Any suggestions on average equipment?

plenty there in conjunction with FSX - flying online is pretty cool with them

FSX with Acc Expansion has some very cool helo missions, such as sea rescue, mountain rescue etc, that range in difficulty so it wont be a breeze in the park.

Without the expansion however, the helo side of the game is pretty limited.

Apart from that, you'll want to look at getting Black Shark, an addon for Lock On which hasnt been released yet.

Thanks for the tips, although black shark looks great I was under the impression that it was purely a combat flight sim. Ideally I was looking for something that started with the basics and then moved onwards.

I am sure it is hard enough to fly a heli properly without having to worry about incoming SAMs etc
