Flight sim n00b

I'm a noob flyer mate and i use the Logitech attack 3 joystick, It feels good enouth for me and has 12 assignable buttons including the throttle, it is also as cheap as chips.
I also recommend IL2 and Pacific fighters as fun can be had even for us noobs to flying. BF2 is a good easy flyer aswell.

I recommend the ch Fighterstick and pro peddals, but they are not cheap as chips unfortunatly.

The one I play most is wwiiol. I almost solely fly in it but theres a lot more depth to it because youre flying over terrain that has infantry and armour fighting over towns. This means half your mission will be CAP and half will be ground support (CAS). I should warn you, theres a huge learning curve and it is very easy to feel noobish for weeks as you get shot down over and over again. Theres quite a few long-term players who are good at what they do and it takes a long time to get used to the strengths and weaknesses of the aircraft. If you do try, play Axis first, they have the best aircraft until the last round of R&D when the Spit IX comes out.

Another area where WWII Online scores is the fact that you are taking part in a 24/7 war and your actions can have consequences. For example...take part in a bombing raid on enemy factories and you can help retard their ability to RDP or flying paratroops to their objectives can help progress the front.

Got my joystick. All I can say is wow, this is sooooo much easier. I was obviously expecting it to be better but the difference is amazing. I've done all the tutorials without any problems, time to do some proper flying :D Thanks for the help everyone :)

Does the force feedback thing work well ?

Much difference to the 2 do you know ?

Have you done the lessons in addition to the tutorials?

There are the 10 or 12 missions which are called tutorials, but in the learning center you need to read up on the theory and also there are instructor led test flights in there on things like ILS landings etc.

A combination of the missions, learning center and practice should see you enjoying the game more!

And a good joystick of course, I use the Saitek X52 with mine.
