It sure does cost a fair bit, but im sure flight simmers would love to have this in their basement

I am stunned they are not a dog food company![]()
How much is that?
Very cool but very impractical I should think. Surely the same can be achieved with some very high specs virtual 3d headset/glasses attached with motion sensors like TrackIR? I believe the human field of view is @120 degrees with the rest of the @180 degrees view being peripheral vision and we only really see what we directly look at full focus. So being locked up inside that ball, you never going to see more then @30-40% at any one time, indeed you can move your head up and down but even then you can't see whats behind you. Not to mention my basement is a tad to small to have that kind of setup.
Edit: Just read the marketing bits, it is obviously mainly aimed at pilot training centers, even military pilot training it seems. Guess future pilots will have a ball to train in that and also, much of the future military aircraft are leaning more towards unmanned. With the pilot being on the ground and having this kind of technology to display where the unmanned aircraft is would improve its ability to fly it I should think.
