Any one recommend a good flight Sim. There just seems a total lack of good quality ones on the market....I don't mean any of the airbus ones, dont think I could sit still for 3 hours while I fly 35.000 feet, well not without doing a loop the loop, or trying to crash into something....
I dloaded Hawx, wasn't to impressed, although it looks great, it just seems a bit to arcade like.....as if it was made mainly for the consoler's.....
Either a good Jet or WW2 sim...something with a bit of realism....

Choices are...

IL2 1946 for WW2
Lock On for modern combat, you might also consider Falcon 4 allied force.
DCS:- Black shark for Combat Helicopter flight
Strike Fighters 2:Vietnam for Vietnam era combat.

There are others but they are the ones worth mentioning first.

If its realism youre after wwiiol cant be beat because youre actually flying against other people. Thats a disadvantage at first because youre wallowing around like a big fat target but if you put in the time gets very rewarding. Offline its gotta be IL2 - although i believe there is a multiplayer aspect.

Hmm that IL-2 description is slightly off..IL2 has always been geared around Multiplayer and infact singleplayer is quite slow and the AI are too predictable to be of any use. Yes its fine to hone your skills, but Multiplayer is the key, with around 200 servers usually all full on weekends using Hyperlobby, lots of co-ops..thousands of maps/co-ops/missions, and as of late, quite a few addon planes, such as B29's, Early prototype Spitfires etc. anyways thats my opinion, and as always everyone has their own, and i know there are quite a few that will agree with my description.
