Just installed FSX, been playing around a bit and the first thing i've noticed is the graphics seem to be a bit "glitchy". Lacking any kind of textures to the ground and when flying missions every so often I get this long pause for several seconds (very annoying when trying to land and you find you have crashed without realising!).

Any1 had any of these problems or no a fix?

All my settings are on ultra/30fps.

Do you have SP1 installed for it? Gives it a serious performance boost.. and is your pc up to the spec of ultra settings (I don't have sigs showing on these forums so I can't see if it is in your sig or not :))?

Also, what OS are you running? I've heard that Vista SP1 can really drop the FPS, but not sure if that was fixed with the FSX SP2. Think I'll install FSX now actually, test out the new card a bit hehe :D.

There's an SP2 for FSX? Man, I need to install it again and have a play!

Computer Spec:
E8400 3.0ghz Wolfdale @3.6ghz||4GB Ram||EAH4850@690/1127||
Gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L||Hiper580W

I've got the Accelerator expansion installed (which patches the game to SP2).

I found out the awful textures and look of the game was coming from it re-setting the graphics options all the time.
