Hi guys

Here are my specs:

[email protected]
3GB Corsair DDR2 800Mhz (854Mhz overclocked)
5850
Monitor resolution 1024X768

I used to play FSX on max settings except weather settings with FPS set to unlimited and the game used to run smooth with very nice graphics on Win7 32bit.

Just recently I clean installed Win7 64bit and FSX. However with same settings I have noticed the game is strutting. The outside environment seems laggy and the picture quality isn't very smooth either. I don't know why it is happening. It seems as if I am playing FS9 on low settings.

Any ideas?:(

Are you really, really sure that you used to have it running smoothly on max settings with just weather reduced?
I thought a maching that could do that didn't exist yet.
Surface and air traffic allone should have killed it.

Before installing Win7 64 bit I was getting 40-60 fps. The motion was good and sometimes I did get lagginess. But now it is more apparent.

I haven't installed the 2 service packs. What benefits do they provide?

Think of them like the Service Packs you get for Windows.

You'll get no where without the service packs, apart from the huge difference they make to the general performance many addons will fail without them.

Thanks guys:D

The issue was definitely related to service packs 1 &2. After installing the service packs and running on the same max settings I can see the performance difference and game runs like a smooth ass:D

Cheers!!
