Going to sell my Corsa C 1.7DTi this weekend, wondering what to do prior to sale....

Since buying my Volvo it's sat SORN outside my house, I've started and ran it up to full operating temperature and rolled it forward and backwards each week to keep everything from seizing up,it's pretty clean condition and appearance wise.

Thing is it's an 02 plate with 150k on the clock, therefore I'm expecting not much for it and am wondering if I should bother giving it the clay bar, polish and trim dressing treatment this weekend? It does clean up very well but realistically will it be worth my time and effort on my weekend off to do it?

Next question, it's by far the highest mileage listed on Autotrader in my area (150k) of similar age and model examples but has had three owners (myself included) and has a full service history all bar the last service done and documented at Vauxhall dealers, whilst its hateful (it's a Corsa diesel!) to be fair it drives well, seems to use no oil, is great on fuel and its condition belies its age and miles, what to ask for it?

Another issue though given its SORN, any prospective buyers can't road test it.....

Really cba with it to be honest, I hate dealing with car buyers in general, but, the Volvo is a keeper therefore "the Beast" as I call it must go!

Just give it a general wash and hoover and make sure it's priced a bit lower than the lower mileage cars. Someone will take it, though can't imagine it's worth much more than scrap?

After they've done their walk around and found as many issues as possible, I'd end up owing them!

Thinking this, maybe advertise it at say £450 or offers expecting of course to be knocked down considerably - there's a few locally around that price that don't look as nice nor have any history

I'd have thought eBay would be your best bet for a car at this end of the market, or local facebook group and stick it up for £450 like you say. Our local facebook groups are always full of people asking 'Need cheap diesel car'.

I'd always think its worth giving it a decent wash, don't think i'd bother will clay bar or anything but a good wash and some tyre dressing and a couple of hours of your time should pay off.

If it's in good condition and you are confident it will pass an MOT I would personally put a fresh 12 months MOT on the car. There's plenty of people out there that will pay £500 for something with 12 months MOT and it's probably a better use of your time than getting the clay bar out.

This. Stick an MOT on it and stick it on gumtree eBay someone will snap your hand off for a few hundred quid run it until it dies driving.

Definitely open up your market by mot'ing it. It means someone can drive it for a year. Plenty of people just want something they can jump into as cheap as possible, without an mot it will put a lot of potential buyers off.

Oh yes, forgot about the MOT, it's tested until March 2017 but yeah I could slap one on it, as I say I only put a SORN on it when I got my Volvo, prior to that it was my daily and more or less faultless, the only issue was the A/C needs a re-charge.

It rained today so I've not bothered cleaning nor advertising it yet but noticed while giving it its start up and warm up treatment a nice crack in the screen by the drivers wiper blade, blooming great, that's more value gone... :/

eBay / Gumtree I guess is my plan but sheesh, I hate dealing with tyre kickers :/

WBAC would probably half your valuation for that crack lol.
Gumtree is fantastic for cheap cars it's free to list on there and you would be surprised how many people are just looking for a cheap runaround and are not bothered about condition etc. I sold 2 Ford Focus's through Gumtree within 24hrs of listing them the buyers just turned up with the cash and left with the car no problems at all.
