Floopy drive cable???

Hi All

I just rebuilt my old system into a new case.
When I booted up I noticed the (Sony) floopy drive acting strange.
It's seems that I had connected up the floopy drive cable the wrong way round to the drive .
Can anyone please tell me just to be on the safe side, what dirction the red side of the cable is supposed to face. Is it to the centre of the drive where the power cable is, or is it to the outer side of the the drive.
Also do you think it is posible that I could have done any damage to the drive or motherboard??

No, you won't have damaged it. The red side should go towards Pin 1, if you can find Pin 1.

floppy shoudl still be ok. i dont think i have ever mananged o get a floppy cable connected the right way round first time lol personally i think its impossible lol
