Hi guys,

Looking for two floorstanding speakers (up to 1m tall) for connection to a Hifi. Budget is £300 to £400. Don't mind used if it makes a big difference.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Monitor Audio Bronze BX5 are currently on half price clearance at £249. Absolute gem of a bargain. MA BX6 (big brother to BX5) clearing at £349. Deeper bass.

Tannoy Revolution D6T - new and on clearance at £249 from £400.

Secondhand........ too many options to list. KEF, Ruark, Monitor Audio, Tannoy, Linn etc etc. Read some old reviews and see what's available in the various forums and on Ebay in your locality.

Whatever you decide, go for a listen first. Don't buy blind.

You can get some serious bargains second hand but I'd try AV forums before Ebay.

Recently picked up a mint pair of Dali ikon 6 with matching ikon vokal 2 centre for 370. I think I'll end up selling the centre for 100 to 150 if I'm lucky so its a 200-250 quid buy for speakers that still sell for 1000 new.

Don't buy the D6T without auditioning. Heard a pair and thought they were awful... each to their own with these things of course :)
