Floppy Disk Destroying

Silly question but is it the meat disk centre that needs destoying when I get rid of floppy disks or the other parts?

Destroy the plastic to remove the magnetic desk, remove the metal center & put it through a paper shredder.

The best tried and tested way to destroy a floppy disk is to copy something important onto it

Unless there is information regarding assassinations you've carried out, a pair of snips or beefy scissors will be plenty effective

Actually, to totally remove any possibility or recoving any of the data, you will need to ring up your local nuclear power facility. They will allow you to go in, and wave it in front of the 'core' the radiation will be enough to wipe the disc, and also erase any memories of whatever was on the disc in the first place. This is the only sure fire way of getting rid of the data.

I stilll have a USB floppy disk drive and a box of well used floppy disks....becuase you just never know...motherboard drivers for XP FTW
