Floppy Disk Drive B: - Problem
Hi there,
I've just popped a new floppy disk drive in my [Vista] computer and I'm having a couple of problems with it.
It's all connected up fine and will read and write floppy's no problem, but it's showing up as drive B: There are no problems in Device manager either. Everything looks absolutely fine but also note, in BIOS it reads as A: and not B:
I've Googled as much as I can, and it all leads me to the same place - the Computer Management Console page where you usually change the drive names etc. The only problem is that the floppy drive does not even exist in this page! Every single one of my drives shows up there, except the floppy drive...
The reason for fixing this problem is I'm making a Maxtor HDD floppy disk to check my hard drives and potentially format them - usually I'd just leave it at B: but the program requires the floppy to be as A: drive.
Any help is greatly appreciated and hoe that wasn't a muddy explanation!
Cheers!
