floppy drive light

Hi all
I have just built a new office pc and for some reason the floppy drive light is always on. Is there something I can do to stop this.

Try turning the ribbon cable around. Should sort it

The basic rule is that the red wire (pin 1) goes the other way round to the bigger ide drives.

Not always true- for nearly all drives (IDE and FDD) the red wire should be next to the power connector
