Just done a search and people are replying with 'turn the cable around as you must have put it in wrong' but i havn't built the pc and its years old so the cable has never been removed. I put a floppy in it yesterday and it didnt open instead it made windows freeze for a while, i waited for the light to go out (thats what your meant to do, right? before removing the floppy?) anyway waited for ages light didnt go out so just ejected the floppy. Started the pc again today and the light is still on and wont read any floppy's even ones I know work. It just says 'insert floppy into drive'
Now im not really that worried if no one can come up with a solution as I havn't used a floppy in years but the light is annoying the heck out of me but a bit of masking tape and jobs a goodun lol.
I did take the side of and make sure that all the cable were propery connected as I have been moving it around latley but they all seemed fine.
