Flowers

Ok so i've had my Fuji FinePix F31fd for about a week now, and it's also the first camera I have ever owned, I took these today in my dad's garden, would really appriciate any feedback on how to improve etc. Thanks!

they all look good, maybe try coming at it from different angles to lessen the "look its a flower" effect

the camera you've got is more than fit for the task, just practice, the sticky has some great ideas/tutorials

1. I really like, very good

2. Over exposed, try bringing it down in photoshop
3. A bit bland, nothing comes out and says "LOOK AT MEE"
4. It's nice, overdone it a little with the cropping along the bottom edge.

no1 is a corker
no2 is a little bright and has a lot of purple fringing (it's the lens, so not much you can do about that)
no3 i quite like, but perhaps could be cropped a little tighter
no4 the crop is a little too tight, and the images needs lifting a little (play with the levels in photoshop

)

overall though, they're nice shots mate, and no1 in particular.

try not to stick everything in the middle of the frame, look up on the rule of thirds mate, it helps make photo's more pleasing to the eye.

I'm really happy with it, I am a total photograph newb and i'm finding it easy to take reasonably good shots.
