Floyd Patterson Has Died

A true heavyweight legend and was the first to regain the world heavyweight title.

He died of Alzheimer's disease and prostate cancer at the age of 71.

Very sad news to boxing fans.

Floyd Patterson deserves his place in boxing legend as he held the title of youngest heavyweight champion for many years until Mike Tyson took it and as Kev says, he was the first man to regain the title in the heavyweight division. Not a true heavyweight and far lighter than the likes of Sonny Liston or Cassius Clay, he compensated for this by perfecting his peek-a-boo stance and had sublime footwork and speed.

RIP Floyd Patterson. Very sad to hear.
